Signature Events and Performance Series showcases the future of creativity

graphic illustrations for the 2024-2025 Drama Mainstage season in greens, yellows, orange and pinks.
The Faculty of Fine Arts Signature Events are annual events and performances that showcase student, faculty and alumni talent at the highest level. Ranging from our renowned drama Mainstage season to exciting ensemble concerts and thought-provoking student exhibitions, our Signature Performance and Events Series invite the Lethbridge and southern Alberta communities to join us in recognizing and celebrating all things fine arts.

Austin Culler (M.Mus'23) is a multi-faceted classical guitarist based out of Lethbridge, Alberta. He specializes in performing nineteenth-century music and classical improvisation, but also regularly appears as part of jazz, gospel, and funk groups as a session musician.

In Untelling, Lauren Crazybull engages with Nicholas de Grandmaison’s artworks from the University of Lethbridge Art Collection. In a new body of work, Crazybull uses portraiture to capture moments of contemporary Blackfoot life.

"Holes, History, and the Smoking Mirror" - Meaning “smoking mirror” in Nahuatl, Tezcatl is a polished piece of obsidian which functions as a portal or aperture with which to traverse our layered worlds and temporalities. Its appearance is that of a camera’s lens, a hole in space, a portal into alternative histories and parallel realities.
